What is ELTO?
The Employers' Liability Tracing Office (ELTO), is a not for profit organisation that runs the Employers' Liability Database (ELD). The ELD lets people with a work related illness or injury, and the solicitors who represent them, trace which insurer covered their employer's liability, even when that cover was from many years ago. ELTO also supports insurers in meeting their obligation to keep policy information searchable, so the right cover can always be found.
