Steven Browne

Steven Browne has chaired the ELTO board since March 2018 and has served as a director since September 2010, making him the longest serving of the current directors.

He was part of the industry working party that helped create ELTO, so his oversight runs from the organisation's first year of operation through to the current decision to replatform the Employers' Liability Database.

His career has been built in liability insurance, with around 25 years in technical underwriting and management roles, the majority of them at AXA Insurance UK. As Chair he leads a board that agrees ELTO's annual programme of work, has set its risk appetite, and confirms each year that ELTO has met the FCA's tracing requirements.
