Darren Rowswell joined the ELTO board in September 2022 and represents the run off sector, where insurers manage closed books of business that still generate employers' liability claims many years after the policies were written. He is a director of Catalina Worthing Insurance, a UK insurer authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the PRA and the FCA, which ceased underwriting new business in 2012 and publishes a Solvency and Financial Condition Report.
He is also a director of Catalina Services UK. Those roles sit at the regulatory reporting end of a legacy portfolio, which is directly relevant to a database whose value depends on the completeness of records stretching back decades.
