ELTO recently delivered two ELD NextGen webinars, bringing together a wide range of member insurers and industry stakeholders to explore the programme’s progress and what lies ahead. These sessions marked an important milestone as the programme  moves further into delivery, with a continued focus on collaboration and readiness across the market.

The first webinar, “Understanding the Next Phase” (held on 11 June 2026), provided a clear, business-focused overview of the programme’s current position, the key changes being introduced, and what they mean for organisations. Delivered in partnership with Softwire and Digital Wonderlab, the session was aimed primarily at business stakeholders and operational contacts responsible for supporting organisational change.

This was followed by the “Technical Deep Dive Webinar” (held on 18 June 2026), designed for technical stakeholders and programme leads. The session explored the API technical specification, Developer Portal capabilities, the approach to testing, and the planned release timeline. Attendees also saw a live demonstration of the Developer Portal, delivered by Softwire.

Both webinars were well attended, with strong representation from across ELTO’s membership and delivery partners. Engagement throughout was high, particularly during the Q&A sessions, where participants raised valuable and constructive questions.

Supporting materials to help you prepare

Insights gathered during the webinars have been used to inform an updated FAQ document, which was shared with ELTO’s wider distribution list. This captures key themes and questions raised by stakeholders and will continue to support organisations as they plan for the next stage of delivery.

Alongside the FAQ, two further supporting documents have also been issued to provide additional clarity  and support early planning:

• Policy Management Changes document –  A business and operational overview of how policy data submission will change under ELD NextGen, including the move from SFTP file transfers to API-based submission, simplification of the data model, and updates to validation, ownership, and processes.  
• API Outline Specification – An early view of the new Policy Data API, including endpoint structures, authentication approach, request/response formats and validation rules. It is designed to support technical teams in preparing for integration ahead of the full API documentation release.

Together, these documents provide both the business context and technical direction needed to help organisations understand the changes and begin planning their implementation approach.
