ELTO at BIBA 2026

Showcasing progress and connecting with the industry.

We were pleased to attend the BIBA Conference 2026, one of the most significant events in the UK insurance calendar and an important opportunity to connect with brokers, insurers and partners from across the industry.

This year, ELTO exhibited from stand F2 alongside the Motor Insurers’ Bureau (MIB) and the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB). Representing ELTO at the conference were:

  • Steve Browne – ELTO Chair
  • Emma Lawton – ELTO Board Member
  • Kim Lawton – ELTO Product Manager
  • Jane Bartlett – CRM Specialist
  • Alicia Nahar – Customer Engagement Manager
  • Emma Bisset – Senior Communications & Campaigns Officer

Across the two days, the team engaged with a wide range of stakeholders, including brokers, insurers and long-standing industry contacts, with the stand seeing high levels of engagement across the event.

Many visitors were particularly interested in learning more about the ELD NextGen programme, with conversations focusing on how the modernisation of the Employers’ Liability Database (ELD) will support and improve employers’ liability operations across organisations. There was clear recognition of the importance of maintaining a reliable, secure, and effective database, and strong interest in how ELTO is evolving its services to meet both current and future demands.

Exhibiting alongside MIB and IFB provided a great opportunity to work closely with colleagues and friends across the wider MIB family, all of whom play an important role in supporting the industry. The shared presence allowed us to highlight the meaningful, and often behind-the-scenes, work being delivered across these organisations. It was a strong reminder of the real-world impact this work can have, ultimately helping people access the information and support they need at what can often be a critical and life-changing time.

In addition to showcasing ELTO’s work, the event provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with industry colleagues, build relationships and better understand the priorities and challenges facing stakeholders. These insights are vital in shaping ELTO’s ongoing development and ensuring that the services we provide continue to deliver value to our members and the wider market.

For brokers who visited the stand, and who currently use ELTO’s services (or for those looking to learn more), we encourage you to refer to the latest ELTO Broker’s Guide, which offers practical guidance and supporting information.

Overall, BIBA 2026 was a successful event for ELTO. The strong level of interest in ELD NextGen and the quality of conversations held over the two days demonstrate both the continued relevance of the ELD and the importance of ongoing innovation. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to visit us, and we look forward to continuing these conversations in the months ahead.
